The best way to pack a moving box
Packing a moving box can be a daunting task. There are so many sizes and types of packing materials to choose from. Where do you start?! Here are a few helpful tips about boxes and packing to keep your move going smoothly!
Small boxes are also called book boxes, for good reason. They are well suited to holding books! Filling boxes larger than the small/book box size with books is a recipe for disaster! They are difficult to lift, hard to stack in the truck, unwieldy to maneuver up and down stairs, and most importantly, very difficult for you, the customer, to move should you need to do so before or after your Austin moving company relocates you.…
Best Practices to Plan Ahead for Your Move
Summer time is the busiest time of the year for movers. We are here to help you plan ahead for your move.In addition, the beginning and end of each month are traditionally busier than mid-month, regardless of the season. If you are planning to move during one of these times, plan well in advance so your mover’s schedule can accommodate your requirements.
Can it wait till winter?
If you have the flexibility, try not to move during the summer months or at the end of the month. Most movers charge higher rates for moves made during these time periods (your friendly Austin movers do have high- and low-season rates but we do not charge more for moves at the beginning/end of the month or weekends).…

“I’m extremely satisfied with Elephant Moving. I had to change my move time at the last minute because the closing on my new house ran late. Elephant was very flexible and had no problem coming a few hours later. The estimated time and cost to move were accurate and everything was moved without any problems. I will definitely use Elephant Moving again in the future!”

But moving yourself is not as inexpensive as you might think!
If you are renting a truck there is the rental fee, insurance and taxes. On top of that there is the cost of gas and mileage. If you are moving locally this is not a major expense, but if you are moving across the state or even further that gas and mileage can add up quickly!
